The Saltford Santa Dash 2025 team has asked SPC to let residents know that on Sunday 7 December hundreds of Santas will be on the streets of Saltford, and that traffic through the village may be slower during the event.
Please find a message to residents below from the event organisers with more information.
SPC will share route maps on this page when available. Friendly marshals will be positioned along the routes guiding the Santas.
~ All runs start at Saltford Sports Club playing fields at Wedmore Road, Saltford, BS31 3BY.
~ The children’s event begins at 10:00 AM with loops around the Sports Field.
~ The youth (12 and over) and adults’ event starts at 11:00 AM, offering a choice between a 5km or 5mile route through Saltford and Keynsham.

Residents are encouraged to watch and cheer from their homes and gardens, helping to create the wonderful community spirit the event is known for. Or head down to Saltford Sports Club’s fields to cheer on Santas at the start and finish!
It’s likely the area around Broadway and Wedmore Road will be particularly busy, so residents supporting or participating in the event are encouraged to walk (or dash!) to the Sports Club’s fields.

Dear Residents
The 2024 Saltford Santa Dash was another great success, raising in excess of £14,000 for Keynsham Mencap and Sporting Family Change.
This year the event is taking place on Sunday 7th December. Our chosen charities are Keynsham Mencap once again and Cardiac Risk in the Young.
We are expecting approximately 250 Mini Santas to participate in the on field event at 10:00 a.m. Approximately 550 adult Santas will be leaving the sports club at 11:00 running through the roads of Saltford and Keynsham providing a very special festive spectacle.
The road event may affect the flow of traffic so be prepared and plan ahead if you have a time sensitive journey.
Over the years many local residents have viewed this spectacle from the comfort of their own houses and gardens, sharing the experience with neighbours and friends and cheering our santas. Your support is very much appreciated by the participants and we hope that we will see you cheering and enjoying the community spirit of this event.

SPC hopes everyone taking part – whether running, volunteering, or cheering – has a fantastic time at this event. In recent years, SPC has provided grant funding to support this important community occasion and welcomes the festive spirit it brings to the village.
Several SPC Councillors will be attending – with a couple dashing! – to show their support.
