A4 Bath Rd & Keynsham Bypass - Lane closures planned for maintenance works - Saltford Parish Council

B&NES Council is advising drivers about a series of lane closures on Bath & North East Somerset Council A roads, including in and near Saltford, as part of essential maintenance works. This includes B&NES Council works such as verge cutting, litter picking and gully cleansing.

From today (3 June) and Tuesday 11 June, a rolling programme of maintenance and cleansing works will affect the following highways and roundabouts in or near Saltford:

  • A4 Keynsham Bypass
  • A4 Bath Road
  • A4 Bristol Road
  • Broadmead (Waitrose) Roundabout
  • Hicks Gate Roundabout

Maintenance works will also take place on the A4174 Avon Ring Road, the A37 Upper Bristol Road and the A39 Bath Road, and on the Chelwood Roundabout.

All works will be carried out between 9:15am and 4pm to reduce the impact on traffic. All works will be carried out under single lane closures, avoiding full road closures and no work will be carried out over the weekend to minimise disruption.

B&NES Council says that grass and verge cutting, gully cleansing, litter picking, street light maintenance and road sweeping will take place along each highway. Grass and verge cutting will improve visibility and safety at junctions and roundabouts.

Several teams from across B&NES Council are coordinating their activities to reduce disruption to motorists and residents, however Bath & North East Somerset Council is advising people plan their journeys as lane closures may cause delays. Residents are advised to also check One.Network for other planned roadworks in the B&NES area.

Residents can also find more information and view the street cleaning, grass cutting and gully cleansing schedules on the council’s website: https://beta.bathnes.gov.uk/find-roadworks-schedules-and-planned-works
