Councillors - Saltford Parish Council

Responsibilities are carried out by the Councillors individually and collectively. All Councillors are available to listen to the concerns of residents. If you wish to contact any of the Councillors directly please use the details below. Councillors can also be contacted via the details on the Contact Us page.

Saltford Parish Council has 11 Councillors (and currently one vacancy as of 29/07/21 – please see Notice of Vacancy in Office of Councillor). Elections last took place in May 2019, and Councillors serve a four-year term. Parish Councillors do not receive any payment for being elected members and offer their time voluntarily for the benefit of the local community. The Chair receives a small honorarium in place of expenses (£300 p.a. in 2021/22). The Chair and Vice-Chair are elected by other Councillors at the Annual Parish Council meeting held in May.

Saltford Parish Council has one employee, the Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer, who administers council business and supports Parish Councillors to carry out their responsibilities. The Parish Clerk holds the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA), the recognised qualification for clerks.
