Curo proposals to redevelop garage sites – immediate residents to be contacted by Curo

Curo has shared with SPC and B&NES Ward Cllrs that they will write to immediate residents to share and invite feedback on their proposals to redevelop garage sites at Wedmore Road and Camerton Close.

Curo say this will be via a free post package which will include a summary of projects, proposed site plans, and timescales. Curo aims for communications to land on doorsteps by 17 Oct. There will be a questionnaire residents can post to Curo free of charge as well as an online questionnaire.

Following feedback, Curo will look to submit an application to B&NES Council (the Planning Authority) for Planning Permission.

B&NES Council is the decision-making authority. SPC’s role is as a statutory consultee e.g. B&NES Council must consult SPC when a planning consultation goes live. SPC resolves decisions at its monthly meetings, where residents can attend and speak prior to decisions being resolved.
