On 8 June SPC received the following information from B&NES Council (the responsible authority for Public Rights of Way):
Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section
14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has temporarily introduced a path closure with
immediate effect on BA27-41
This temporary closure is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public, namely,
Hazardous: damage to Footbridge. Unsafe to cross.
The closure has come into force with immediate effect and will be effective for up to 21 days.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE – marked in orange. Dark purple – closed route.
