People in the Keynsham area – including Saltford – are invited to give their views on the way public services are provided for their community at the next Area Forum meeting on February 22.
There will be presentations from Bath & North East Somerset Council on the Local Plan; housing conditions and an update on the Keynsham High Street Heritage Action Zone and the Local Cultural Programme. There will also be a presentation on local transport including from the West of England Combined Authority. People can submit questions for the Combined Authority in advance by emailing connecting_communities@bathnes.gov.uk
Age UK BANES will attend the meeting to give an overview of a new Ageing Better project and how it is working to support residents towards enjoying their later lives.
There will also be an update on Voter ID ahead of changes in national legislation from May 4 this year which mean that for the first time, voters will need to show photographic ID when they go to the polling station to vote in the local election.

Area Forums are open to all and bring together public services, local organisations and residents to improve local engagement, encourage people to talk to each other and share their skills and ideas. There are five forums in Bath and North East Somerset which are supported by the council.
