The Boundary Commission for England are asking for views on revised proposals for new Parliamentary constituencies. They are currently reviewing Parliamentary constituencies, to rebalance the number of electors in each. On the Boundary Commission for England website you can view an interactive map of proposals for new constituencies, and submit your views directly.
The proposed Parliamentary constituency for Saltford is: North East Somerset and Hanham CC.
The Boundary Commission for England is the independent organisation responsible for reviewing Parliamentary constituency boundaries in England.
The current review will conclude with their formal report and recommendations in June 2023, so it is referred to it as the ‘2023 Review’. Recent changes to the law make it very likely that their recommendations from this review will be implemented, so residents are encouraged to participate in the process by giving them your views through their website.

• submit a response directly about their proposals (during a defined consultation period);
• view the responses submitted by others; and
• submit a comment directly to them, supporting or contesting a response from somebody else.

They are currently consulting until 5 December 2022 on revised proposals for new constituencies.
Unfortunately this end date falls before the next Saltford Parish Council meeting. Saltford PC has requested a time extension to respond, unfortunately the Council was informed that this was not possible. Saltford PC is encouraging residents to respond directly to the Boundary Commission for England with their views about the new proposed Parliamentary constituency that Saltford will be within.
