Plans for new defibrillator in Saltford - Saltford Parish Council

Saltford Parish Council is delighted to announce that another defibrillator will be installed in Saltford!

SPC resolved at its July meeting to restore the Norman Rd phone box, and SBS Design and Build together with Saltford Kitchens have kindly offered to fund the costs of a defibrillator. Saltford Parish Council adopted the Norman Road phone box from BT in 2019.

Councillors were in agreement that lifesaving equipment at this SPC asset – located on the junction of Norman Road and the A4 Bath Road – could be of critical help to those using the A4 as well as residents living in this area of the village.

The restoration of the phone box will start in the autumn, and the defibrillator will be installed by SBS Design and Build and Saltford Kitchens once conservation works have been completed. Staff at SBS and Saltford Kitchens will be trained on how to use the defibrillator.

The phone box will be removed for part of its restoration, to be sand blasted and repainted, and to level the base. Updates about this project will be posted on SPC’s social media pages.
