The team at Keynsham Recycling Centre has confirmed that they will be checking resident’s ID (proof of address) when looking to use the site located via Pixash Lane (Worlds End Lane, Keynsham, BS31 1TW).
ID has been a requirement on request at the recycling centre for some time, however B&NES Council has recently confirmed that checks will be taking place. A sign has been placed at the site’s ‘meet and greet’ cabin to inform residents of the need for ID.
The B&NES Council webpage for Keynsham Recycling Centre states ‘Before you come to the recycling centre’:
- Sort and group your items together so you can unload quickly
- Bring proof of address with you in paper or digital format (e.g. your most recent Council Tax or utility bill) or your current boat licence if you are permanently or temporarily moored in the district
- Be aware that staff cannot be relied upon to move or lift items from your vehicle
- Don’t arrive before the centre opens (you will be turned away if the queue becomes too long to avoid congestion on surrounding roads)
SPC thanks Saltford’s B&NES Ward Cllr Duncan Hounsell for engaging with the team with regards to the above information, and also seeking confirmation that ID may include Diamond Travel Card (with B&NES Logo) or a B&NES Discovery Card.
Information about Keynsham Recycling Centre, including opening times and access, is available on the B&NES Council website.
