Updated 27 March 2025: Can you help with safety to enable our village’s children and young people to parade on Remembrance Sunday? Or know someone who could (please share!). 1st Saltford Scouts – who arrange Saltford’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations each year – are in need of a volunteer who would be willing to give some advice prior to – and maybe attend the event on Sunday 9 November 2025 – in the capacity of road traffic advisor.
The volunteer advisor would need to hold a relevant road traffic qualification and advise Saltford Scouts on road traffic matters, to enable Saltford’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations to take place safely. This would include advice with regards to road closures.
The Saltford Scouts would be grateful for help from:
- Someone who holds a street works accredited qualification (NRSWA) S1/O1, or
- Someone who holds a NHSS12D M1/M2 Registered Traffic Management Operative (RTMO) or T1/T2 Trainee category under a qualified RTMO from LANTRA, or
- Someone who holds a Traffic Management for Community Events (TMCE) qualification Traffic Management for Community Events (TMCE) – Lantra from LANTRA, or
- Someone who holds an England Athletic Road Traffic Management qualification Traffic Management course from LANTRA
