B&NES Council, as part of the approved 2022/2023 Highway Maintenance Capital Programme, will be undertaking resurfacing works to Uplands Road, Uplands Drive and the junction area of Golf Club Lane and Manor Road
Works will commence on Wednesday 20th April 2022 and are expected to take five days. The works will be undertaken under a full daytime road closure, between 07.00 and 19.00 hours.
During the works there will be a full road closure with NO VEHICULAR ACCESS (except for Emergency and restricted access to residents when safe to do so under the control of Traffic Marshalls) and a local signed diversion route will be in place where required.
Unfortunately the nature of the work and machinery required means it is not possible for B&NES Council to complete the works in a way where they can maintain vehicular access, however the road will be re-opened each evening on completion of the days scheduled works.
A letter is being delivered to properties in the area which show the extents of the works. It explains in more detail how those living on affected roads will be impacted by whilst the works take place. Please find a copy of the letter here.
The works could be disrupted if there is inclement weather although B&NES Council say they will do their best to let everyone know if the timings need to change as a result.
