SPC hosts ‘Meet your community police officers’ meeting – residents welcome - Saltford Parish Council

Saltford residents are invited to meet their local police officers at a meeting in the Avon Room at Saltford Hall on Tuesday 16 November 2021 starting at 7pm.

Saltford Parish Council is hosting this opportunity for residents to receive an update from Avon and Somerset Police about crime rates and crime prevention in Saltford.

It is also a chance for residents to discuss any relevant village-wide issues they wish to raise to the attention of the A&V officers present (please note if there is a specific incident or matter residents wish to discuss with the police, advice is to contact the Keynsham Beat Team directly).

Questions about Avon and Somerset Police’s Neighbourhood Watch schemes can also be raised at the meeting. Being in a Neighbourhood Watch has many benefits – helping to reduce crime and the fear of crime, lowering insurance rates, and meeting neighbours. The Parish Council encourages Neighbourhood Watch schemes in Saltford. Schemes can be big or small even covering a single street or close. If anyone would like to start a NW scheme in the Saltford area, please contact Trevor Wilmot on 01278 644845 or email trevor.wilmot@avonandsomerset.police.uk

Saltford Parish Council and Saltford’s B&NES Ward Councillors regularly keep in touch and discuss matters relating to policing responsibilities in Saltford. Saltford Parish Council is pleased to say that B&NES Ward Councillor Duncan Hounsell will chair the ‘Meet your community police officers’ meeting, as he has done in previous years in his former capacity as a Saltford Parish Council Councillor.

All Saltford residents are welcome to attend the ‘Meet your community police officers’ meeting, there is no need to book so please just turn up.
