SPC also shares information in SCAN (Saltford’s village newsletter produced by the SCA), and in the local press, including a free page article in The Week In every three months. SPC also issues press releases, and is grateful to publications such as The Keynsham Voice for regular mentions for resident’s awareness.
SPC also shares information regularly on its social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter) as well as its website ‘News‘ page. SPC’s social media feeds can be found on the right-hand bar of the SPC website – you do not need to hold Facebook or Twitter accounts to access this information.
Plus remember, to find out what the Council has been discussing and resolving, check out our minutes (on the website and on our noticeboard) or come along to a meeting (upcoming meeting dates here) – the public are welcome to attend and speak on any agenda item during ‘Public Time’.
SPC will be reviewing its approach, the effectiveness and content of its publicity at its upcoming July meeting, to identify improvements. This includes looking at its internal publicity (e.g. SPC’s social media posts; quarterly e-newsletter; website news articles) and SPC’s communications via external publications (e.g. quarterly page in The Week In; bi-monthly page in SCAN). Please let us know what you think and any improvements that could be made.
