Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Consultation – Saltford & Keynsham: Manor Road, Saltford
- Posted on
B&NES Council has opened a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) consultation. Visit https://www.bathnes.gov.uk/traffic-order/26-051-various-roads-keynsham-and-saltford-prohibition-stopping-waiting-loading-and on the B&NES Council website.
SPC appreciates a B&NES Ward Councillor raising awareness to SPC that this consultation had opened on 6 August 2026.
The only proposal for the village is for ‘No Parking / No Loading At Any Time restrictions’ (Double Yellow Lines) on Manor Road, in front of the bollards at the entrance to Manor Road ‘lane’ (as closed to motor vehicles).
This proposal follows a resolution made by SPC in November 2025 to request DYLs at this location, to help improve safety and access for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders by preventing vehicles from obstructing the lane entrance and to improve visibility. SPC successfully requested that B&NES Council close the lane to motor traffic in 2024.
The consultation closes on 27 August 2026. While SPC requested additional time to consider the formal consultation at its next Full Council meeting, this has not been granted. However, SPC did respond in support of this proposal during the earlier preliminary consultation stage, in line with its resolved November 2025 request.
Residents can review the TRO proposals and submit their views directly to B&NES Council before the consultation closes on 27 August 2026.
The consultation also includes a number of parking and waiting restriction proposals in Keynsham.
