Update from St Augustine's Medical Practice re. Saltford Surgery - Saltford Parish Council

SPC thanks the Saltford Community Association for sharing the following correspondence from St Augustine’s Medical Practice for residents’ awareness, as follows (17 May 2021):

Over the next few weeks as restrictions are lifted we will be increasing the numbers of  GP / Nurse face to face appointments at Saltford Surgery. Still mindful of the risk that variants may pose to staff and patients, we ask that patients only come into the reception area if they have an appointment.

Where possible please continue to use online forms / telephone for queries.  To maintain distancing, patients may need to need to wait outside until their appointment time if the waiting room is full. Please use the intercom on the front door, if required.

Whilst our GP’s / Nurses will continue to assess patients via telephone initially, we have reviewed our appointments to increase the number of appointments receptionists can book directly as face to face appointments for certain problems / conditions. We kindly ask that patients have COVID symptoms/ or have been in contact that they do not attend the surgery, please call first for advice.

There are several ways to request prescriptions, via our online services, the NHS app or online contact form. You can also ask the pharmacy to order your repeat prescription, alternatively please continue to use the post box for repeat prescriptions.

Patients can access your COVID-19 vaccination status through the free NHS App. They can access the app through mobile devices such as a smartphone or tablet. For access via the NHS App you do not need to contact your GP. The NHS App will continue to be developed with further updates in the future. This will include the ability to show your COVID -19 test results. If you do not have access to a smartphone and know that the country they are travelling to requires COVID-19 vaccination status, you can call 119 and ask for a letter to be posted to you.

Thank you for your continued support.
