WECA ‘A4 Bath to Bristol’ travel consultation live – SPC to respond at 5 Sept meeting

Residents are encouraged to share their views on the West of England Combined Authority’s (WECA) ‘A4 Bath to Bristol’ travel consultation before the end date of 1 October 2023.

Saltford Parish Council has invited officers from WECA and B&NES Council to give a presentation at its Tuesday 5 September meeting. The presentation will take place near the start of the meeting under Item 4. ‘Public Time’ will take place immediately after under Item 5. SPC will then resolve its response to the consultation under Item 9.
Residents are welcome to attend SPC’s meetings and speak during Public Time on any agenda item if they wish. A copy of the agenda and SPC’s Public Engagement Guidelines (should a resident wish to speak at the meeting) can be found on our ‘Meetings – Agendas & Minutes‘ page.
Ahead of the consultation SPC also requested that public engagement take place in Saltford so that residents could find out more about the consultation. WECA will be holding drop-in events for residents, including one at Saltford Hall (room TBC, likely Main Hall) on Tuesday 19 September between 2-7pm. Following SPC’s full council meeting on 5 September, it will share its response to the consultation so that residents are aware of the Parish Council’s view. A copy of its response will be available on the website, and linked via SPC’s social media (Facebook and Twitter/X). A summary of the response will be in the draft minutes, which will be published on our website and noticeboard c. 7/8 days after the 5 September meeting.
Awareness of the consultation was shared on social media by SPC soon after its launch date on 22 August, and reminders to encourage residents to respond to the consultation will continue to be shared until the consultation end date of 1 October 2023 via social media. A poster is also on the noticeboard by the shops (near A4 Bath Road). Information has also been displayed on the noticeboard on SPC’s September agenda.
