Saltford Parish Council’s office will be closed during the Christmas and New Year period.
Communications received from residents to SPC’s contact details (including via the website and voicemails) from Friday 13 December 2024 will be responded to as soon as possible after Thursday 2 January 2025.
Saltford Parish Council has one part-time member of staff. Thank you for your patience as we catch up on correspondence following the festive period.
Next meeting
SPC’s January 2025 meeting will take place on Tuesday 7 January in the Avon Room at Saltford Hall. Meeting information will be made available on Thursday 2 January 2024 on our ‘Meetings – Agendas and Minutes‘ page (and SPC’s noticeboard and social media).
B&NES Council waste collections during Christmas and New Year
B&NES Council’s waste and recycling schedule will change during the festive period.
Saltford residents can view information including different dates for collections in the village in SPC’s news article ‘Waste and Recycling in Saltford – Christmas and New Year 2024/25‘.
This includes information about real Christmas Tree collections.
Reporting issues in the village
If residents wish to report a matter of concern, please be aware that Parish Councils are not permitted to act in areas that are the responsibility of other authorities. It is key that residents approach the correct authority.

If you are concerned about someone rough sleeping in the B&NES area this can be reported directly to StreetLink, as also signposted from SPC’s ‘Report It’ page.
Other matters for B&NES Council to address such as fixes, cleaning etc., can be reported via FixMyStreet.
If an emergency matter for B&NES Council (e.g. anything that involves public safety where there is a present danger such as a fallen tree on a highway/pavement, significant broken glass, missing manhole cover etc) please phone B&NES Council pressing ‘option 9’ for emergencies on 01225 39 40 41.
